Kristen is fashion business and creative consultant living in Austin, Texas whose clients include: the ethical fashion brand, Raven and Lily and luxury hair accessories brand, Lelet. With almost 20 years experience in the fashion industry, she began her career at Fossil in Dallas Tx and then moved to NYC where she designed accessories for large fashion brands including Cole Haan, Kate Spade and most recently Tory Burch. kristen is on the board of Sa Voix and feels honored to encourage and support the young makers and burgeoning designers of the savoix products through her knowledge and experience. For her, Sa Voix is a place be empowered to express the creative voices each young woman was born with.

Morgann is the Owner, Designer, and Maker behind A Well Worn Story located in Forreston, Illinois. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production with a focus in Creative Design, and spent a semester abroad studying Fashion Design at the London College of Fashion. During her time in London, Morgann developed a passion for leatherwork, fair trade, and sustainable fashion. This passion lead her to starting a business using reclaimed materials to create high quality, sustainable goods. Morgann is a Designer at Sa Voix teaching sewing skills and leathercrafting. To her, Sa Voix is a safe space for women to be creative, share their stories, grow together, and empower others.
Board member + digital strategy consultant
Eric is a dot connector, and a storyteller. Eric help brands, businesses, and organizations find and create the right connections, uncover and answer the right questions, and ultimately empower them to make confident decisions. He is the Senior Creative Strategist for Bludog Design where he has worked for the past 10 years. Eric helps seamlessly string together the myriad and complex pieces of the whole, so that the messages and the meaning make sense—to the people with something to say, and, perhaps even more importantly, to the people they're trying to reach.
Maria is a Jeweler, Art Instructor and Art Therapist in West Palm Beach, Florida. She received her BFA from Texas State University in Photography and in Studio Art with an emphasis in Metals/Jewelry before receiving her Masters of Art in Art Therapy at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. During her years working in arts education and art therapy, Maria has worked in a variety of settings which span age ranges 3- 101 years of age and population types from assisted living/skilled nursing care, to youth camps to incarceration. Maria is on the Board of Sa Voix and the resident Art Therapist. To Maria, Sa Voix is a special tribe of women empower each other through listening, mentoring, creating and growing as a collective.
Listener + creative consultant
Jane is a listener who photographs children and their families and writes truth from her heart. She lives in eastern Pennsylvania with her husband and two children. Prior to answering the call to make art, Jane was a full time speech language pathologist and has a master's degree in special education. She has been a photographer for 8 years and has been writing for 2 years. Jane comes to Sa Voix as a listener and a creative inspiration consultant. She believes everyone can be heard, Sa Voix speaks this belief of hers in all truth.
Emily is an ORISE Research Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Quality and Sustainability Office. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Emily works to help CDC achieve sustainability targets throughout the agency. Her work focuses primarily on energy management and water conservation, but sustainability communications and employee engagement is another large aspect of her position. Prior to joining CDC, Emily held two prior research positions in Greenville, South Carolina, one at a pediatric weight management clinic and one at the City of Greenville in the Urban Planning and Community Development Office. Emily also spent time working for several non-profits in Greenville, utilizing urban farming as a tool to equip and empower youth in disenfranchised communities. As part of the Sa Voix team, Emily will help manage and develop communications and is very excited to work alongside such an amazing tribe of women as the Sa Voix story unfold.
Michael J. Hlis
Board member + accountant
Michael is an accountant specializing in manufacturing finance currently working in the manufacturing industry. He received his BA in economics from University of Colorado at Boulder and MBA in accountancy at Depaul University in Chicago. During his years in working in manufacturing finance, he has learned the fundamental processes and procedures required to run a lean manufacturing organization minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency. Michael is on the Board of Sa Voix. To Michael, Sa Voix is an important example of the successes of empowering women and providing opportunity to those who could otherwise be left behind.
